#1Life in the Village of Ottawa Hills, Ohio
With fewer than 5,000 people, Ottawa Hills enjoys a special quality of residential life with beautiful homes, lovely gardens, open spaces and nature, an award-wining school system, and community-minded, friendly people.
And since it's completely surrounded by Toledo in a metro area of much more than 500,000 people, it is close to everything you need to make your life complete.

Ottawa Hills High rated among top public schools
Ottawa Hills High School was one of the 1,300 top U.S. public high schools last year, according to Newsweek magazine.
Ottawa Hills was 583 on the magazine's "America's Best High Schools" list, which used a "Challenge Index" looking at the advanced curriculum tests taken by students in a public school compared to how many students graduated.
Ottawa Hills Superintendent Cathy Heidelberg said 143 advanced placement tests were taken in the high school last year, although not all of them by the 76 seniors who graduated in 2007.
The school offers a dozen advanced placement classes.
"Our goal is to have a lot of students interested in taking a college-level curriculum," Ms. Heidelberg said.
This is the fifth time that Ottawa Hills has been included on Newsweek's list.
